PROJECT – #5930642 D-B Replace Chillers #1 and #2, B943, NBK BREM, WA
Scope of Work:
•Replace existing Data Center AC units (CRAC) and 2” dia chilled water piping with new 40 ton CRAC, 4 ea, and 3” dia chilled water piping. CRAC units shall be able to handle redundant power paths. Remove power connect & conduit to existing CRAC, and install power connect & conduit to new CRAC. Updating wiring and lighting to match with new CRAC in Data Center.
-Install 4 new (40 ton) CRAC units, and remove 6 existing. (Provide adequate temporary cooling services during the construction phase when building cooling system is not available.)
-The 40 ton CRAC unit will have the proper sized piping end to end, with no reducers to restrict the required flow.
•CRAC units shall be equipped with variable fan speeds, and auto-controlled to meet changes in temperature. Install overhead cable trays to allow proper airflow for CRACs. Data Center equipment shall be arranged to meet a Hot-Aisle containment system (HACS).
-Two trays of different color will be installed. One for fiber, and one for copper.
•Demolish existing panels and pull power back panels that are powering 2nd Floor.
-Remove Power Center 1, 2, 3, 4, 4e located on the 2nd floor. Power will be reconnected without power outages to Datacenter equipment.
-Prior to the removal of the “old existing” power centers, all connections will be re-located to their appropriate end of row power panels.
-Power that crosses CAT6, Fiber or any other IT Cabling shall be shielded with conduit.
•Replace existing 400 KVA UPS system with new 2 Ea, 400KVA UPS including UPS meeting with redundancy requirement.
-And enough power for feeding a separate power for users and Data Center Space, dedicatedly.
•Remove existing pre-action sprinkler system and replace with wet pipe system in server room and rest of the office areas in the 2nd Floor. Remove existing pre-action sprinkler smoke detection system in Data Center and rest of the office areas in the 2nd Floor.
•Replace HVAC Chillers #1 and #2 located in the basement of Building 943
-Replace both chillers designed to maintain redundancy required for heat sensitive B/943 equipment. Project includes all associated piping, new DDC and electrical items.
-Replace all AHUs, which are outdated and operating inefficiently, modify walls, floors, and HVAC between server room and offices on 2nd Floor.
-Perform hazmat survey, rework HVAC controls including existing CRAC units.
-Perform pre-TAB in the design stage with manipulating the controls to ensure that dampers, louvers and other devices are properly operating.
