PROJECT – ACQR 5900362 D-B Replace Boilers in B1950, B13910, and B13914, Smokey Point, WA
Scope of Work: CLIN’s 1-3: Provide design and installation required to replace the existing non-condensing natural gas boilers with new 95-97% efficient commercial condensing boilers at the following locations:
•CLIN 0001 Naval Station Everett (NSE): Building 1950 (2 boilers)
•CLIN 0002 Marysville Support Complex: Building 13910 (2 boilers)
•CLIN 0003 Marysville Support Complex: Building 13914 (2 boilers)
Design component shall be cost-effective and not overly complex as these are existing systems and the boilers will be “off-the shelf” and installed. Work shall also include replacement of the original boiler circulation pumps (with Variable Frequency Drive). Demo existing exhaust system and install condensing exhaust PVC piping through the existing roof penetrations and provided separate natural gas PRV and service line to new boilers. Install controllers and commission with direct digital controls.
CLIN 0001: Bldg. 1950: Provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete design and replacement of two existing boilers (B-1 & B-2) with new 95-97% efficient, condensing boilers with 25:1 turndown, associated piping components and equivalent input/output. Replace the original circulation pumps. Replace heating loop pumps, boiler circulating pumps and associated VFD’s. Connect new system piping and components to facility heating water hydronic system piping. Include thermometers, gauges, insulation. Existing Boiler 1 & Boiler 2: INPUT = 2207 MBH / OUTPUT = 1743 MBH
These boilers were designed and sized to be supplemental heat sources working with the primary heating source (Pool PAK) which is currently out of order and shall be replaced via a seperate contracting option. Replacement of the Pool PAK is NOT part of this contract.
CLIN 0002: Bldg. 13910: Provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete design and replacement of two existing boilers (BLR-F101 & BLR-F102) with new 95-97% efficient, condensing boilers with 10:1 turndown, associated piping components and equivalent input/output. Replace heating loop pumps, boiler circulating pumps and associated VFD’s. Connect new system piping and components to facility heating water hydronic system piping. Include thermometers, gauges, insulation. Existing Boiler F101 & Boiler F102: INPUT = 750 MBH / OUTPUT = 660 MBH
CLIN 0003: Bldg. 13914 (Chapel): Provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete design and replacement of two existing boilers (C101 & C102) with new 97% efficient, condensing boilers with 10:1 turndown, associated piping components and equivalent input/output. Replace heating loop pumps, boiler circulating pumps and associated VFD’s. Connect new system piping and components to facility heating water hydronic system piping. Include thermometers, gauges, insulation. Existing Boiler C101 & Boiler C102: INPUT = 250 MBH / OUTPUT = 220 MBH
Magnitude of the Construction Contract: $1M-$5M
