PROJECT – PTO X069 – D/B Renovation of 1st Floor Restrooms & Break Room PM3015, PM3015 Repair to Damaged Walls, PM324 Door Repair, PM324 Air Compressor, PM324 Remove Center Wall, NBVC, Point Mugu, CA

Scope of Work: The scope of work for this project is to renovate six (6) restrooms and one breakroom on the first floor in PM3015.

Option 001: This Request For Proposal (RFP) is for Firm Fixed Price construction work at Naval Base Ventura County, CA. The four HIL laboratories in PM3015 need to be renovated because of extensive water damage, presence of mold, and the inability to pass fire inspection. The back walls in the rooms 162 & 163 suffered water damaged from a hole in the roof (that is now fixed). As a result, it is believed that mold is present that will need to be abated in those rooms. In all four rooms there are missing and damaged ceiling tiles that need to be replaced to pass fire inspection. The ceiling tiles on the second floor are approximately 24ft high with difficult access. All ceiling lights, wall lights and the epoxy floors will also be replaced in all the rooms.

Option 002: The proposed action for this work consists of the contractor furnishing supervision, labor, equipment, and materials in performing all operations necessary to repair the existing eight-leaf bi-parting hangar door system at Building 324 at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Point Mugu, CA.  The South side section of the hangar doors is currently non-operational due to this section of the doors being disabled in the past for security reasons.  The objective of these repairs is to restore the hangar doors back to full operation.  All work must comply with the latest local, state and federal regulations including but not limited to the following references: Site Approval, PRB/CATEX, and those listed in Subparagraph 2.7 of this Statement of Work.

Option 003: PM324 Install hangar air compressor and service lines to provide convenient flexible hose connections for aircraft maintenance performed in and around PM324 hangar bar. There is currently no air compressor system installed at PM324. Compressed air is currently provided by portable carts that do not provide constant air pressure levels required by aircraft maintenance crews. 4. IMPACT: A properly sized and installed central pressurized air system with supply piping and quick disconnects for flexible hoses will provide consistent air pressure and allow for multiple aircraft to be maintained concurrently. VX-30 will be adding E-2D aircraft that require routine maintenance schedules completed indoors and must be able to maintain accurate pressure ratings to meet aircraft maintenance protocols. 5. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide pneumatic air for P-3C, KC-130T, and E-2D aircraft maintenance in hangar at PM324. Install a rotary screw compressor power production system that will provide reliable supply of quality compressed air for aircraft maintenance. Rotary screw compressors are preferred choice for aircraft maintenance. This air system requires an air dryer system capable of providing reliable dry compressed air for all maintenance purposes. Install supply piping, pressure gauges and quick disconnects at convenient locations throughout the hangar bay and other areas as determined by user requirements.

Option Item 004: This project is required to remove the wall that is dividing the hangar space into two equal ones. Revise Flame Detection system. Relocate the two existing flame detectors, add additional detectors, and reconfigure existing detectors as needed to provide full coverage throughout the hangar bay once the wall is demolished.
